I’m Donkey (aka Steve), and the Wee Radge is my Triumph Tiger 900 GT — my partner in exploring new roads, finding new places and seeing where the next ride takes me.
For me, motorcycling isn’t about riding the hardest trails or trying to prove anything. It’s about getting out there, exploring Scotland and further afield, taking the road I’ve never ridden before and occasionally venturing off the tarmac to see what’s around the next corner.
At 57 years of age, I’m still learning when it comes to trail and off-road riding, and that’s part of the adventure. I want to share the whole journey — the good rides, the mistakes, the new skills, the kit and technology I try, and probably a few moments when things don’t quite go according to plan.
Some adventures will be with mates, some will be solo, and sometimes it’ll simply be me and the Wee Radge heading off with no great plan other than to enjoy the ride.
This isn’t about being an extreme adventure rider. It’s about showing that you don’t have to be an expert to get out on your bike, explore somewhere new and have your own adventure.
